The Cobbs’ Las Catalinas Wedding | A Costa Rican Destination Wedding

On March 19, 2021, surrounded by just 15 of their closest people, Julius Cobb and Zyteldar Garzon said “I do” in one of the dreamiest places on Earth—Las Catalinas, Costa Rica.

This wedding was everything a destination celebration should be: laid-back, intentional, and deeply meaningful. With the stunning Santarena Hotel as the backdrop, and the incredible Heidy Quesada Co. leading the planning, The Cobbs’ day was filled with vibrant color, effortless elegance, and so much love.

They exchanged vows in the garden terrace just before sunset, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. With golden light filtering through the trees and the sounds of the waves below, it was the kind of ceremony that made you stop and soak in every second.

The morning started slow and sweet—Zyteldar got ready with her best friend and Maid of Honor, Jade, who flew in from Florida to be by her side. Her mom helped her slip into her dress and place the veil, a moment full of tenderness we’ll never forget. It’s always such a gift to witness those quiet exchanges between mothers and daughters on a wedding day.

Before walking down the aisle, Julius and Zyteldar shared a private first look—and we’re so glad they did. It gave them a chance to breathe, to be fully present, and to take in the magnitude of what the day was really about: the two of them, together. That simple moment of connection set the tone for everything that followed.

From the ceremony to the details, every part of their day felt true to them. The rooftop reception at Santarena was nothing short of magical. Between the bold florals, the golden-hour light, and a breezy ocean view, it felt like a scene out of a movie.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the celebration continued with dancing under the stars and one heck of a rooftop party. And of course—what better way to end the night than with a sparkler exit that lit up the cobblestone streets?

Julius and Zyteldar’s day was proof that when you bring together intention, style, and the people who matter most, you don’t need a guest list of hundreds to have a wedding that’s unforgettable. You can create your own magical Costa Rican destination wedding experience.
